The Team and Role:

The Marketing Team is responsible for all digital and “offline” interactions with our customers (parents and students), from digital marketing through to onsite experiences and after-sale onboarding. We have big ambitions to transform our customers’ digital experience with easy, engaging journeys, and find new ways to connect them to more of what they love. The team totals around 50 people and include a wide range of expertise across Social Marketing, PR, UX/UI, technical development and journey management.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a talented Head of Social Marketing with a proven successful track record in using social media to strategically build brands, create attention and generate user advocacy on a global scale to join our growing team of highly performing Marketing Superheroes.

You Will:

• Own the development of a strategic social media marketing plan and its associated budget across campaigns and channels.

• Work with agencies, publishers, platforms (directly and indirectly) and other partners with the goal to find fast, creative and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative social media marketing plans that connect with customers, maximize engagement and create sharing, talk value and advocacy.

• Lead the development and direct the implementation of a wide range of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live action and other content forms that best utilize the technology available on any given social media/digital platform.

• Work collaboratively with Novakid teams across business units to develop and execute creative ideas, plans and strategies.

• Own the content development relationships with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin, Snapchat and other primary/key partnerships.

• Develop partnerships and productive working relationships with program development teams, talent, publicists, show runners and other related stakeholders to build/leverage networking opportunities and integrate into strategic and tactical planning.

• Provide inspirational, creative and thought leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of target audiences regionally and globally.

• Plan and manage campaign executions, on time, on budget, to scope.

• Work closely with the head of Performance Marketing, Head of Production, Head of Customer Insights to integrate and measure the value and impact of our social media marketing opportunities.

• Manage external agencies and publishing partners as necessary for that which we cannot do internally.

• Establish repeatable operational methodologies and mechanisms that enable frugal, fast and responsive content development and distribution.

• Build, lead and manage a team of talented professionals while setting world-class standards for social media marketing

• Work effectively with other business units within Novakid, especially Sales, Product and Content teams.

The ideal candidate will be a combination of business leader, visionary, inventor, builder, and operator. They must be passionate about the opportunity to work for Novakid

You have:

• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Communications, Advertising, or a Business Management related subject.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing role. SMM background preferred

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role leading teams of 8 people + catering for the needs of customers from more than 5 countries

• Fluent level of both spoken and written English. The more languages you are fluent in the better.

• Built a successful track record in using social media to strategically build brands, create attention and generate user advocacy on a global scale

• Developed highly creative social media marketing campaigns (preferably in the education space) and will have demonstrated the ability to think big and implement innovative ideas in ways that create significant social sharing and PR attention

• A thorough understanding of the capabilities of social media and its ability to connect with a wide range of audiences, and how to use those capabilities to develop a range of strategies and content forms that social media users want to share with their networks

• Working knowledge of traditional/offline marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click/Biddable channels (PPC), lead generation and affiliate marketing practices, techniques, and outcome expectations.

• Managed medium-sized teams in a fast-paced, hyper-growth business and are excited about coaching and growing a team of talented experts.

• Robust team management skills and the ability to define clear priorities and feedback to different team members based on their seniority and performance.

• Confidence in presenting and working in an international environment with various stakeholders.

• A growth mindset and Can-do attitude

• An outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems.

• Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.
