Job description

We're Novakid School, the next-generation early English learning platform that allows kids around the world to learn English efficiently, through play and fully remote practice with native-speaking teachers.

Think cutting edge technology like AI-powered games and training apps that promote English speaking and comprehension based on the use of authentic content in English language. Think certified professionals with years and decades of expertise in children's psychology and learning methods.

“Our Vision is to change the way ESL children learn English by making it more engaging, elective, fun, and accessible. The ability to master the English language from an early age is critical to achieving a path of greater success and fulfillment, socially, emotionally, academically and professionally.” – Max Azarov, Founder

About the Role

We're looking for a Lead Producer to run the day-to-day of our video production team and own how work gets prioritized, resourced and delivered across a high volume of marketing, brand and ambassador content. You'll lead a team of Creative Producers, work closely with editors, designers and scriptwriters, and be the person stakeholders come to when priorities need to be called. You'll report to our Creative Director.

This is a hands-on role: you'll operate as one more producer on the team as much as its lead, not manage purely from above.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay hands-on: carry your own slate of productions alongside the team rather than only directing from above

  • Collaborate directly and efficiently with the other department leads, traffic, video editors, motion graphic designers, graphic designers and copywriters, so work moves smoothly from concept to delivery

  • Own capacity planning with the traffic team across the production pipeline, and push back on stakeholders when volume or timelines exceed what the team can deliver at quality

  • Drive prioritization conversations with stakeholders so the team focuses on the highest-impact work instead of trying to run everything at once

  • Raise the bar on brief quality, working with requesters up front to reduce back-and-forth and rework during production

  • Build and roll out production process improvements for large campaigns, such as parallel alignment, storyboard one-pagers, and early producer involvement at script stage

  • Own relationships with the freelance production network (editors, sound, VO) and key recurring stakeholders, including localization and ambassador teams

  • Manage the projects at risk, unblock bottlenecks, and keep pipeline visibility for the Creative Director and Creative Services Lead

  • Think beyond the day-to-day: anticipate where the team or pipeline will break before it happens, not just react once it does

  • Stay calm under pressure and shield the team from stress rather than passing it downstream, especially when deadlines or stakeholders get demanding

Job requirements

What you bring…

  • Proven experience leading a video or creative production team, in an agency, studio, or in-house marketing environment

  • Hands-on production background: comfortable reviewing cuts, giving direct feedback on edits and storyboards, and picking up a shoot or production task yourself when needed

  • Working knowledge of video production tools and workflow (e.g., Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve at a review level, shooting and post-production logistics)

  • Track record of managing a high-volume creative pipeline: prioritizing, resourcing and protecting quality under real capacity constraints

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable pushing back and setting expectations with non-production teams

  • Proficiency and love for project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Trello)

  • Comfortable working across international, remote and cross-timezone teams

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • English fluency (any other language is a bonus!)

What Success Looks Like (first 6 months)

  • Team capacity is mapped, and stakeholders are working within an agreed prioritization framework instead of everything being "urgent"

  • Storyboard one-pagers and parallel alignment are standard practice for large campaigns

  • Brief quality has visibly improved, with less back-and-forth and rework during production

  • Ambassador and freelance relationships are fully transferred and running smoothly

  • The Creative Producer team is confident and unblocked, with fewer projects sitting at risk

We Offer

  • Make an impact: Improve the lives of children around the world.

  • Grow with us: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

  • Thrive in a collaborative culture: Join a diverse and supportive team that values creativity and innovation.

  • Flexible work environment: Enjoy the freedom to work remotely
